It was a hot one but the boys and the men managed to get some stretching done before taking to the field.

It started with the under 20’s winning the toss and opting to start with the bat. They started quick with plenty of boundaries and consistent singles, and kept the pace for the entire innings. AJ, CC and Corey all averaged 2 runs per ball and we saw great work from Lochie, Corey, Reuben and Ryan all ending up with red ink. The men were hit around the ground but Brad and Shark got 2 each, and Stumps and BoM took 1 a piece too.

The men came in strong with a good chase and kept the run rate ticking all the way. Lucky, DC and Leigh held the reigns but the U20’s spread the wickets around – Lochie’s 3, Cav’s 2, and Corey, Ryan Lucky and AJ with 1 each. This ended up being the difference and the kids bowled the oldies out, 24 runs behind and an over short of the innings.

That makes it 2 wins to 3 now and already has the Under 20’s mapping game plans for 2025’s clash. Congratulations everyone, we’re also looking forward to the 6th take of this challenge. See you next season!
